A Star Is Born: Review

The 2018 movie, starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, is a heart-wrenching, romantic movie that makes the viewers believe in love again. A Star Is Born is simply about a talented and well-famous musician, Jackson Maine, (played by Bradley Cooper) who struggles with substance abuse and meets the very talented Ally (played by Lady Gaga) who, despite her incredible talent, hasn’t been successful in the music industry because of her appearance.

The movie is an emotional roller coaster for the characters and the viewers, as you can feel everything that each character goes through. Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper stripped away their real life personality and really captured the characteristics of Jackson and Ally. The movie’s songs were sung without force, the songs were effortless and soulful. The movie did so good that A Star Is Born Soundtrack debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, making Lady Gaga the only woman to have 5 No. 1 albums in this decade. The movie also topped $100 million in 12 days after it hit theaters.

A Star Is Born has won multiple awards already and is currently in the running for many more. The movie was nominated for and won the Best Original Song for the Hollywood Music in Media Award. The movie also won Best Actress, Best Director, and Best Supporting Actor in the National Board of Review Awards.  A Star Is Born is also in the running for other awards which haven’t been awarded yet.
