As you probably know, Uniontown Area High School’s 2019 Annual Spring Musical is “Anything Goes.” Each and every part of the talented cast works very hard every day to perfect their role by the performance. No matter what role one of the cast members has, they all work hard to perfect the dances, their lines, their acting, and their singing to make it enjoyable for the audience. Although some roles may seem more significant than others, let me assure you that all of the roles work just as hard as the other to make these shows presentable.
Take ensemble for instance. You may think that they’re just the people in the background to make the stage look fuller, but they work harder than you may think. Ensemble members show up to every practice, learn every dance, sing every song, and some even have a few lines, but reacting to everything on stage to make it look believable takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Ensemble is definitely a great part to make if you just joined musical, want to be on stage but not front and center, or just if you want to have fun with a role without having to memorize a whole book’s worth of lines and music.
In this year’s musical, we have 4 seniors, 2 juniors, 2 sophomores, and 2 freshmen. Emilee Friend, who is also playing as FBI Agent 1, Caleb Evans, who is also playing as FBI Agent 2, Shelby Dunham, Raelyn Canady, Mikayla Smith, Liberty Bryner, Jocelyn Jeffreys, Leah Hollis, Shayna Mitchell, and Alexandra Cardenas. Each and every one of them have put a lot of hard work and dedication into this year’s musical. They participate in all group dances and even have a few lines that you might catch if you come to see the performance on March 21-23 2019 at 7:00pm. We hope to see you there! Bon Voyage!
