In January Bailey Gammon entered her hand sewn dress into the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. She received a Gold Key which is the highest award you can receive at the local competitions.
Her dress will now go on to be displayed in New York at the national ceremony in Carnegie Hall. There she will be given additional awards and much deserved recognition for her art. After the ceremony her dress will travel to the Pratt Institute, and be displayed for the students that go there to see.
She chose the design for her dress based off of Andy Warhol’s style. She likes the color combinations and the way he finishes his pieces. The name of he piece is “Body and Soul of Andy Warhol”.
