The Red Cross blood drive being held at the school needs more than volunteers to give blood. Volunteers willing to help with the blood drive donors are also required. These individuals must be willing to handle that sort of environment and will be helping their fellow students after they donate.
Volunteers will need to be able to help watch over students recovering from their donations. This means they will need to be able to speak with them, provide them with crackers and juice, and be able to tell when a donor isn’t doing well. They will also need to be able to walk them from the seat to the mat, and walk them back to their class once time is up. This gets the volunteer out of class for the duration of their volunteering while they are also helping the individuals who are willing to do what it takes to save lives.
To sign up, please go down to the guidance office and request a Red Cross volunteer paper. Any assistance is appreciated.
