The Boys/Girls track team suffered very close loses to cross-town rival Laurel Highlands. The losses where both close and interesting all the way to the end with scores being 76-73 for the girls and 77-73 for the boys. Even with the loss it closes out another very successful track season for the team. The girls track team ended the season with a record of 5-2 and the boys with a record of 3-3in section play.Some indivuals will head on to the County Meet and WPIALS to exceed there season just a bit further. Good luck to those competing and make our school proud.

In boys discuss Uniontown took both second and third place as James Reddington and Gage Glover continue to improve meet after meet. James Reddington took second place and has qualified for WPIALS as of yesterday with his throw surpassing the 120 feet mark that is needed. Gage Glover took third place and is only feet away from qualifying for WPIALS but still has the County Meet to hit his mark to continue on a great sophomore season.
In boys shot-put Uniontown took both first and second place as Amadeus Marinucci and John Guseman battled for the top spot. Marinucci took first place taking the top spot for the first time this season. Guseman settles with second place but helps his team gain a few points.
In boys javelin Uniontown takes only second place with there top thrower John Guseman. Guseman is the top guy in both Javelin and shot-put and continues to improve his distances. His season will continue on past there meet against Laurel Highlands and sets his sights this weekend.
In girls discus Uniontown takes second place as Kenzie Hostetler is the only Uniontown girl to place. Throughout the season she has been a consistent thrower for Uniontown and continues to bring in points for her team this season.
In shot-put Uniontown takes first place as Sarah Wozniak is undefeated is meets this season and once again breaks the school record with a throw of 36feet and 11inches. Wozniak has been dominate in the circle this season and will continue her season this weekend and deep into May.
In javelin Uniontown takes first and second as Jamie Lebedda and Kierra Rose as they are both qualified for WPIALS. Coach Pat Lion calls the two girls a great one-two punch for the team. Lebedda took first place and Rose took second as they contribute points for there team.
