Calling All Writers & Artists – Join us at AWE

Fall is the time for Scholastic Art and Writing of Southwestern Pennsylvania’s  ninth annual Art & Writing Encounter (AWE) on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the California University Convocation Center!

The AWE event invites both middle and high school students along with their teachers from regional schools to come to California University’s campus for a one day program of activities in art and writing for students and teachers.

You can attend one art and one writing class with college professors or local artists. All of the Writing classes will be held in the convocation center. The art classes are held in the professor’s classrooms. The class size is 20 students/professor.

The lunch menu in Gallagher Hall: cheeseburgers, a pasta station, bowl of tossed salad, cookies with lemonade, fruit punch and ice water.
