Tomahawk Talk’s Biaggi DiMarco caught up with coach Girod on the upcoming track season, here’s what he had to say.
TT: What are your thoughts on this year’s upcoming track season?
CG: I’m exited for both boys and girls teams. Both always have a chance to win the section.
TT: What inspired you to become a track coach?
CG: I ran in high school, as well as a little bit in college. I love how it brings athletes of other sports together.
TT: How do you deal with multiple sports athletes?
CG: It’s different, but they have to dedicate their time and communicate with the coaches.
TT: How are you going to prepare for next season?
CG: I’m going to do my best to make all of our underclassmen stronger athletes, and encourage them to do other sports.
TT: What are your expectations for your athletes?
CG: Always strive for your personal best, and take care of your body by eating and sleeping well. Most importantly, study lots of Spanish! Vamos!!
