Culinary Field Trip to Gordon Food Service

The culinary arts seniors from Fayette CTI took a field trip to Gordon Food Service. The trip was only for seniors since the students future in the industry was the main topic. They wanted to tell all the students about the opportunities they could have at Gordon.

When students arrived they provided breakfast for all the students and instructors. After that the executives told everyone about what they do and why students should consider Gordon for a career. A lot of students were interested when both of their chef’s and a dietitian spoke.

After everyone spoke students got to do hands on activities. They made different types of dough products for lunch that day. They made calzones, pepperoni rolls, bread, sub rolls, and pesto rolls. This seemed to be the most exciting part of the day. All the students recommended that the seniors next year attend the trip.
