Ryan Lenhart, a very intriguing student here at Uniontown High School, and one of our newest Eagle Scouts. Ryan has been in Scouts since kindergarten and is now a member of troop 608 out of Uniontown. We are focusing on Ryan’s Eagle Scout Project which took place at the 4H Shotgun Club here in Uniontown.
For his Project, Ryan took a look at the club he has been a part of and said, “Since I’ve been a part of this club I always wanted to give back to them in a way.” With that Ryan refurbished, cleaned, painted, and remade parts of the club, dedicating himself to an amazing experience. He first set his sight on the skeet houses of the club, giving them a fresh coat of paint and fixing them up to par. Later Ryan reached out to Dave Bowers of the Graphic Arts Dept. of the Career and Technical Institute and obtained the donation of a new sign for the club’s entrance. “The hardest part was clearing out and refurbishing the steps leading to the skeet house,” said Ryan, which was another task he accomplished in this project. With a difficult task at hand Ryan asked for some help including parents of Troop 608, his current troop, friend Nick Morgan and family, and fellow Eagle Scout Andrew Rider and brother of Andrew, Robert Rider. Finishing his project with an amazing experience and a way to give back to the club and to its members.
Outside of Scouts Ryan is a great student and friend to many. Including himself in many extra curricular activities such as, marching band, one-acts, show choir, musicals, SAD Interact, FBLA, and National Honors Society. Ryan plans on attending Penn State to major in Criminal Justice with a minor in Computer Science, or Attending the Air Force through (AFROTC).
