FBLA 2016 State Competition

Four UHS students will be competing at the FBLA state competition this year.  The competition is held Sunday, April 10 through Wednesday, April 13.  They are Dale Detrick, Nicole Sova, Jamee Lebedda, and Kyra Zahron.  Date is competing in cyber security and the rest are competing in business ethics.

There will there be activities for student to participate in and a motivational speaker on Monday evening.  Various educational work shops are available to attend as well as post secondary schools.  A fun day is planned for Sunday at Hershey park.  The awards ceremony is on Tuesday evening.

There are several benefits that students gain by participating in FBLA.  They gain leadership skills through their competition and workshop participation.  Students begin building their social and career networking banks through meeting people from across the state.  Students begin preparing for their future careers.

Good luck to faculty adviser Mrs. Hough and the students representing UHS at PA FBLA.
