Future Business Leaders of America is a nonprofit educational association of student members preparing for careers in business, or who are just simply interested in learning more about the free enterprise system. FBLA helps students develop leadership abilities, and prepare for entry into, and advancement within, a business or business-related occupation. Members learn how to engage in business enterprise, how to direct the affairs of a group, and how to compete honorably in competitive events.
The UHS faculty advisor is Mrs. Hough. She recently took four UHS students to the state leadership conference in Hersey, PA. Jayden Thomas competed in public speaking, Bridger Cameron in economics, Ryan Lenhart in cyber security, and AJ Rider in job interview. The FBLA students spent their fun day at Hersey park. After their competitions they attended multiple workshops where they learn about informational topics and furthering their careers.
The FBLA students are having a fundraiser to raise money for their club. They will be selling Pewter building ornaments for $15.00 each. They will be sold at the UAHS awards night ceremony at 6:00 p.m. on May 21st and in the coffee shop on Thursday, May 23.
