On Wednesday, April 25 the french club members went on a field trip to the Cathedral of Learning and to Paris 66.
The Cathedral of learning was a fun experience to go tour most of the rooms. Each room was designed to represent the culture of various ethnic groups that settled in Allegheny County and are supported by these cultural groups and government. We only had enough time to view some of them. All the rooms had great detail and we learned about the history of each room. The rooms are regularly used as functional classrooms except for two. It was very interesting to know how each room was built. The rooms are very unique on how they were each built.
Paris 66 is a small French restaurant. It’s very nice inside and all the workers speak french. It was a fun experience to actually order in french. Most of the students said the food was delicious. Most of the French club members bought macaroons. They had many flavors you could pick from.
Many of us enjoyed the tour and learning history at the Cathedral of Learning. Also experiencing going to a French restaurant and buying macaroons.
