The Annual Future Business Leaders of America regional competition was held on Friday, December 8th at California University of Pennsylvania. Students spent the day competing against fellow students from around the area. Abby Sakaguchi placed second in the job interview event, Brandon Bell and Jayden Thomas placed second in the sports management event. Maeve Carei and Abby Marinucci placed fourth in the publication design event. Diamond Lovett and Sha’Maurie Mosley are patiently waiting for the results of their state only event, broadcast journalism.” You can watch their competition submission below.
Here’s what Jayden Thomas had to say about FBLA. “Future Business Leaders of America is an opportunity to distinguish yourself within the business world, while being taught the principles of many forms of business. The competition we attended recently enlightened me on many aspects of business that every adolescent should learn and understand. Overall, I’d highly recommend to any underclassmen who wants to pursue any business major to join and become an active member of FBLA.”
The members also raise money for a different charity each year. This year’s charity was the Alzheimer association, and our members will be selling UHS beanies for ten dollars.
