Homecoming Parade

On October 4th at 5:40 Uniontown had their first annual homecoming parade before the homecoming game. The parade started at Bailey Park and ended at our stadium. The parade went out Beeson Avenue, down Fayette Street and down Grant Street, then finally into the back of the stadium.

Many groups participated including the band boosters, middle school band, 2019 Homecoming queen, homecoming court, middle school cheerleaders, drama club, UHS cheerleaders, high school cross country, middle school cross country, the golf team, girl’s basketball, girl’s soccer, boy’s basketball, and the UHS Band and Alumni Band. All of the floats the different clubs made were very cool. The drama club float was a preview of the upcoming spring musical “Little Shop of Horrors.” The parade wasn’t too long but it was very fun, and it is something I think we should do every year.

The Homecoming parade is something that will get the crowd excited before the big homecoming game. I hope we continue to do things like this in the future.
