International Women’s Month

International Women’s Month is held in March each year. After the 1914 celebration and push for equality, the month has become an annual staple for global awareness around women’s issues. This time of year is used to celebrate and thank all of the women for milestones, and challenges they have surpassed through all of the years.

March 5th, 1931, Geraldyn Cobb is born. She became the first woman to pass qualifying exams for astronaut training in 1959 but wasn’t allowed to train because of her gender.
