National Arts Honor Society’s Art Show and Induction Ceremony

The National Arts Honor Society’s (NAHS) art show was held on Friday, the 13th of April at 5:30. It is designed specifically for high school students in grades 9-12. The NAHS inspires and recognizes students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art. “I have always loved art and NAHS allowed me to spread my love to the community through volunteering” says, the president of NAHS, Abbigail Felix. It strives to aid members in attaining the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.

The ceremony consisted of the explanation of the elements of art which was given to the members by Emma Holt the secretary. Kayla Hay, Vice President, lead the pledge as the Inductees and renewing members recite. The officers then lit the National Art Honor Society’s candles of red, yellow, and blue.  Abbigail Felix then gave the Society’s Charge to the Inductees who were Gracie Wilson and Violet Clatterbuck. The President introduces the Society’s sponsor, Mrs. Rebecca Gartley, who confers the rainbow cords onto the seniors then introduces the guest speaker, Natalie Szewczyk.
