Ohiopyle Vandalism

On the morning of Sunday, February 23rd parts of Ohiopyle vandalized. On the Ferncliff side of the falls rocks were spray painted with flowers and various phrases. The vandalism was found on Sunday morning when a ranger supervisor opened the gates.

The graffiti was clearly visible from the other side of the river and on the observation deck. Luckily the park officials were able to get 95% of the spray paint off, but because of the environment they couldn’t use certain cleaners. The officials used brushes and power washers to scrub the paint off.

The Ferncliff side of the Main Falls Area was vandalized with spray paint this weekend. If anyone has information on the vandalism please contact the park office at 724-329-8591.
