The senior project is a graduation requirement where students explore a career of their choice that interests them. It can be job shadowing, volunteering, repairing or restoring something. Anything that is involved with the real life situations and skills of an occupation. Wyatt Lepley job shadowed a physical therapist at Redstone Rehabilitation Center in Uniontown.
Wyatt said, “I had a lot of fun learning how physical therapy works and effects the daily lives of the patients.” He learned about how stimulating most parts of the human body can help in the long run for both younger patients and older patients as well. He noticed that most patients had have knee replacements and other types of bone replacements as well. He learned that communication skills are very important to the profession in explaining exercises and muscles that are affected.
