Senior Spotlight: Jacob McNeill

Activities: I am a drama club child. In the last 3 years I have played brother John in Anything Goes, Patrick Martin in Little Shop of Horrors, and I’m playing Vice Principal Douglas Panch in this year’s musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Future Plans: After graduating, I plan to attend college and master in biology.

Fun Fact About Yourself: In elementary and middle school I dreamed and attempted to be a ventriloquist. It ended somewhat badly.

Favorite Quote: “You can be anything you want to be, just turn yourself into anything that you think you could ever be”- Freddie Mercury

Thoughts on your social distanced senior year: It was hectic, strange, and felt like prison, but I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. This is a senior year I can hopefully tell my grandchildren and maybe even great grandchildren about. This year will alway be a part of me and probably a part of everyone else for the rest of our lives.

Advice to upcoming Seniors: Don’t let the stress of the future plague you now, enjoy every moment as it comes and do not worry about tomorrow. I made the same mistake and I hope no one else does too.

Shout Outs & Thank You’s: I give thanks to my lovely mother. She has been my guiding light and has helped me find the person I am today. She has stayed strong for me and stood by my side through everything. I love you.
