Should I get a tattoo?

Around UHS, many students are getting tattoos. You might be thinking about getting one yourself. But before you get a tattoo, you should think if it’s right for you. A tattoo is something permanent that has meaning to the person. You don’t want to get a tattoo you like when you’re young, and regret it as an adult. So there are some questions you need to ask yourself before getting one.

At UHS we surveyed 30 random students to see if they had tattoos. 5 of them said they had tattoos. Of the 25 students who said they don’t have a tattoo, over half of them said they are thinking or considering getting one. Most of the tattoos that students have are family related or symbolic to something in their lives.

It’s a popular style to get a tattoo today. But everyone is unique on their design choice, and also where they get them on their body. If you’re thinking about getting your first tattoo you should talk to a classmate who has one and how they made the decision on getting their first tattoo.
