Starting on a High Note

As some of you may have noticed, the position of band directer has gone under major changes at Uniontown Area High School. With the previous teacher resigning to take a job at Frazier School District, a Uniontown alumni has take up the mantel. Mr. Wyatt Wilson was the band teacher at Frazier before being officially hired by Uniontown at the school board meeting on Monday, November 5th.

While Mr. Wilson was a student at Uniontown Area High School, he was involved in the drama club and the marching band. Now he has come back as a the music teacher here at Uniontown, where he will now be a director of the marching band and the Spring Musical. Those, along with his everyday classes, are just of few of Mr. Wilson’s new responsibilities. Student in his classes are exited for the rest of the year with Mr. Wilson and all the years to come.

We wish Mr. Gerney the best of luck at his new job and welcome Mr. Wilson to the Raider family.
