Being quarantined can have a variety of effects on the daily lives of students. For example, in one study of quarantines, 73% exhibited low moods and 57% of the same individuals showed irritability while being stuck in quarantine. I feel its is reasonable to assume the same for students, but only more so. Many students no doubt feel very stressed with the school work, but the stress could also be produced by the worry of quarantine duration or fear of contracting the virus. Science has found that we as humans are social beings so therefore “social-distancing” is simply not natural, not only for those younger students developing social skills, but also for older students who need social interaction with friends as well.
