Swim Class Learns CPR

CPR kits were recently donated to all Fayette County school districts by UHS alumni Mr. John Gismondi and the Gismondi Family Foundation. Mr. Yauger is the swimming and life guarding  instructor at Uniontown High School. He utilized the CPR mannequins in a lesson with students in the class.  The swimming course is a requirement for all students to graduate from Uniontown High School.

Mr. Yauger swimming classes watched a video on CPR and then practiced CPR on the mannequins. Mr. Yauger states, “It will benefit the students because they will have the knowledge of CPR if anything were to happen in real life.” Mr. Yauger is excited to incorporate the CPR kits and feels are a good addition to the class because the student will have that knowledge going forward.
