The Teen Outreach Program or “TOP” is a program for students to help with social skills, emotional support, behavior, and provides a group of friends to attending students. This program will empower the attendees to work hard and give the necessary tools to avoid risky behaviors. Rosa Gonzalez is the facilitator for our Uniontown TOP program by the Wyman Center, and sponsored by Adagio Health. You can learn more about TOP by clicking here.
Meetings take place every Tuesday from 2:45 to 3:30 in Uniontown High School Cafeteria. There will be an introduction to TOP, activities, snacks, and sign-up opportunities. This is a great program for students to attend, giving them the skills to make the right decisions and empower those who attend to be successful. Rosa stated that there are currently six students attending and she would like to see more students join and can accommodate up to 30 students.
TOP has the power to change communities and the people in them. Attendees will leave meetings feeling empowered and ready to improve themselves. This program will bring out the leadership in students. Wyman’s programs are also based on evidence of past programs, bringing all successful portions of them together for a better, more influential program. We hope to see you there. You can listen to Rosa’s message in the newscast below starting at 2:40.
