Online school has affected students all over the world. The way we learn now is completely different than usual. Online school has increased students stress and anxiety levels. Students aren’t socializing with other students. They aren’t seeing their teachers face to face. They no longer use paper to write, and instead are using iPads or laptops.
Mental health and learning disorders can cause students to drop out of school entirely. Some young adults having to be on video in front of others can lead to anxieties. Due dates can make students more anxious especially if they’re already falling behind. They are in the comfort of their own home, it’s easy to get distracted by surrounding objects. Such as phones, TV, pets, and even video games. It’s easier now than ever to put off school work.
To help cope with these problems try moving to a different area than your bedroom to do school work. It’s hard but, leaving your phone in a different room. Turn off all distractions. To boost your mood try to get a better nights sleep, eat some healthy foods, go outside for a little while. The graduates of 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 probably won’t have a normal high school school experience. Everyone should make the most out of it even with high stress and anxiety levels.
