Mrs. Smith’s second period English class is reading a book called “Tuesdays with Morrie”. It is a great book about an old man named Morrie, who gets ALS and teaches his life lessons on his deathbed. There are a lot of different things you can learn from this story about life. It is a favorite books that many students enjoy.
The book wasn’t that long with fourteen chapters and each chapter was about 10 pages long. There is an interesting way the author, Mitch Albom, writes the story. In each chapter he writes about what is happening in the present, and then he writes a separate part in italics, that takes place about twenty years in the past. It is a very interesting way of keeping the readers attention because he is telling two stories in every chapter.
I encourage you to go out and give this book a read. It is always good to read books since they are so good for your brain.
