Do you have Raider Pride? What does that mean to you? It means that you represent & support your team, no matter what!
Although Uniontown football is doubted by many, its bound to make a come back. The team is full of driven players with a strong work ethic. This season is bound to be more well-rounded than last year. There are few reasons for this actually. The first one being that our school was moved from section AAA to AA in the WPIAL. Unfortunately this change means that we will no longer go compete against some of our long time cross town rivals. At the same time it provides motivation to work to score those touchdowns on Friday night. We asked Joshua Braxton about the season and he said that “Effort is something no one can judge you on because it’s between you and yourself.” He believes the team is working at success but it’s each individuals decision on whether or not they work to get there. This attitude is what it means to have Red Raider pride.
As always the student section was at the first home game decked in a white-out theme to support their home team. Photos below are from the home opener against Yough high school on August 31. The team returns home for the next game against Freeport for Homecoming on Friday, September 21.
