With Christmas around the corner, the Uniontown Lady Raiders knew they wanted to do something for their community. The Uniontown Lady Raiders Softball team gave back to the Fayette Friends of Animals. They donated necessities to the Fayette Friends of Animals. Donations included cat liter, dog food, paper towels , toys, and trash bags. The cost all together was a couple hundred dollars, but it was all worth it.
Although donating to the Fayette Friends of Animals was the highlight of the whole night, the alumni also met the freshmen waiting for their high school experience. We played games, and took photos with our new boosters. We discussed the upcoming year and the excitement and experience awaiting.
If your considering joining the Lady Raiders softball team you should definitely do it. Playing high school softball gives you a chance for possible scholarships. Playing softball lets you get into shape and lets you experience more then what a recreational team would. Uniontown Area Lady raiders softball team also raises money for the Ripken Experience trip in South Carolina that we attend. We face schools like Laurel Highlands and schools far away as Texas.
