What effects have online school had on students? Online school has forced many students to accumulate a ton of fatigue. It has also greatly affected students ability to learn and get good grades. Over this period of time many people have figured out ways to combat the fatigue.
Harvard has done studies on the effects of online classes and ways to combat them. One way is to not multitask. Harvard says, “It may be tempting to get other work done on a video call, but switching between tasks can cost you as much as 40 percent of your productive time.” A drop in 40% of productive time can make for a huge difference when it comes to time and learning.
Students who have gotten used to online classes have figured out ways to counter the fatigue and stress. One student, Connor, sits outside for an hour. He says, “I find sitting outside helps get rid of the fatigue from online class.” It is a fact that being outside is very beneficial to getting rid of fatigue. Harvard says, “greenery is a good refresher for the mind.”
