2022 NFL Draft

With the NFL season coming to an end in February, the next big thing on football fans watch list is the NFL draft. This is some fans favorite time of the year with the ability for speculate and hypothesize who teams will draft or who will be traded. Many fans will even scout college prospects themselves and act like a scout or general manager.

This year there are five players on the big board. First is pass rusher from Oregon Kayvon Thibodeaux. With a 6’5″ frame, Kayvon is an explosive athlete showing off a quick first step against the pass. Unlike most athletic pass rushers out of college he demonstrates good use of his hands and doesn’t give up if his first attempt fails at getting to the quarter back demonstrating a very good counter move. His high motor and athleticism ensure he will be an elite edge defender in the NFL.

Second up is from up north Aidan Hutchinson. With the sudden raise in draft stock in the last coming months Hutchinson looks like a solid edge with Michigan after suffering an ankle fracture in 2020 he came in strong this season with 14 sacks. His elite ability to get off blocks makes him big eye candy for NFL general managers. Some have compared him too Maxx Crosby with his quickness and athleticism.

Our next prospect is safety from Notre Dame Kyle Hamilton. Used as a defensive weapon for the Irish. His elite size for the position allows him to be used in any way possible to create a mismatch. His football IQ allows him to play the game clean and smoothly and put himself in the best spot to make a play.

Since starting as a true freshman at LSU Derek Stingley Jr has been an impact player since the jump . He has elite speed and fluidity to match up with wide receivers. He can mirror receivers off the line and plays with great patience.

Finally from Alabama Evan Neal has a massive 6’6″, 360 pound frame. He’s a dominant run blocking tackle who uses his length and hands in pass protection. Although his giant frame is an attraction to many coaches but it causes him to struggle to redirect his movement and struggle in space in transition to the league he will undoubtably have to loose at least 30-40 pounds. With no solid QB prospects this year the first 5 picks can easy be changed or flipped depending on team needs and positional value but overall these players are to be assumed to be the Top 5 overall player.
