Adena Rugola Competes at State Golf Championship

Super Sophomore Adena Rugola played in the Girls State Golf Championship on Tuesday, coming in 11th place. Coach Scott was quoted “Fantastic job for your first time at states.” It takes a lot of skill and commitment to make it to WPIALs, let alone state championship, and on top of that placing 11th as a sophomore.

After the first round, Adena was in 13th place with an 85, then finished the second round strong, placing 11th with a 77. Coach Scott was also quoted, “We will be back next year.” Coach Scott is very pleased with the performance. We hope to see Adena back and placing even higher next year.

After all, Adena still has another two years for improvements. We are looking forward to see how far she will come and how high up she will make it. Congratulations Adena and good luck in the next two years.
