AFC Conference Championship Game: Bengals Beat Chiefs 27-24

Cincinnati Bengals faced the Kansas City Chiefs at 3pm Sunday, January 30th for the AFC Championship game.

The Cincinnati Bengals are headed to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1988! Most NFL fans thought the Bengals were the underdogs going into to this game. But not Bengals Quarter back Joe Burrow, he says in an interview “I’m tired of the underdog narrative, we’re a really really good team and here to make noise”. He was not wrong they took home the win and are headed to the Super bowl. Joe borrow threw 23 completed passes for 250 yards total, with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. Patrick Mahomes Had a total of 275 yards with 3 touchdown and two interceptions. The Bengals intercepted the ball in overtime, they then lead them down field into field goal range for the win 27-24.

Rookie Evan McPherson, Cincinnati Bengals kicker played a big part in Sundays game. McPherson said “It was going through my head, there’s a good chance we were going to the super Bowl.” The 22 year old kicked a 31 yard field goal in OT for the win. That wasn’t the only 3 points he put up, he kicked 4 field goals putting up 12 points against the Chiefs . For the First time in 33 years the Bengals are headed to the super Bowl.
