Behind The Scenes: UAHS Musical Tech Week

As the show dates for musical are approaching, March 12-14th, the UAHS production of ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ is receiving its last minute tweaks to be ready for the public. This year’s musical is under direction of Mr. Durso, Mr. Wilson & Alex Wilson. Former alumni, Justin Quinn, is in charge of sound and lighting. Keaton Wright, a former member of the drama club, is creating this year’s set.

This year’s set consist of Mushnik’s flower shop, a skid row stoop platform and a bench with a brick background. Many road signs were borrowed and artificial flower bouquets were made by a few of the cast members. Of course, we can’t forget about the Audrey 2 plants that were from MTI.

While the leads of this year’s production get costumes made and rented, the ensemble has the opportunity to piece together their outfits out of clothing of choice to define their Skid Row characters that remain in the 1960s era.

We are looking forward to performing for you on March 12, 13, and 14 at the Margaret E. Emelson auditorium at 7:00 pm. Purchase your tickets online for $10 plus a service fee.
