It’s that time, LH vs UT. The cross town rivalry. Yesterday we played LH in the first of the two games. These games are a lot of the time just for bragging rights. But this year it means a lot more. LH is 2nd in the section right now and our Raiders are 3rd. If we beat the mustangs both games we take the second seed as we head to playoffs.
In the first inning sophomore Tate Musko showed that he was able to throw with the best of them keeping them scoreless. But Joe Chambers who is known to be a great pitcher also was able to keep us to no runs. This pattern repeated to the second inning and the third inning. Then the fourth inning LH’s Alex McClain hit a solo home run to put the mustangs up 1-0. The fifth inning was scoreless for both teams. In the 6th inning the mustangs were able to put up one more run going up 2-0. In the seventh inning our Red Raiders were not able to put up a run ending the game down 2-0.
Our pitcher Tate Musko gave up one run on two hits. Our closer Clay Dean also gave up one run on only one hit. Our raiders has two hits; A single by Tanner Uphold and a single by Clay Dean. Today our Raiders play their second game against the Mustangs. With Christian Thomas on the mound today an extremely wanted win, our Raiders hope to end up on top of this one.
