Career & Technical Institute

Have you ever thought about going to the Vo-Tech?  Do you know what they offer?  Do you want to experience something new?  Do you feel that the high school is not enough for you?  Do you like meeting new people?  Fayette County Career and Technical Institute (CTI) might be the place for you.

CTI offers many programs from Culinary to Health Occupations to Auto Body.  “I have learned a trade rather than just English and Social Studies.  Also I do machine work at my current job”  stated Brandon Herring from Machine Production.  As a senior the CTI will try and help you get a job in the field you’ve chosen.  Jourdan Hair from Graphic Arts said, “Tech made high school more interesting and helped me look forward to going to school!”  We asked Nick Payton from Machine Production if what he learned at CTI will enable him to start a career right after graduation?  He informed me that he will be able to.  He told us, “What I do at tech is what I will be doing as a career after school.”  There is a lot of advice from seniors that go to CTI for underclassman.  India King is studying Health Occupation and gave us the advice to  ” Take advantage and get serious about the future, it will be here before you know it.”

If you find any of this interesting tours for freshman will be given during extended homeroom each Thursday in February or you can visit their website.  Sign up in guidance for a tour.  Current CTI students, comment below on your experience and what program you are studying.
