P!nk has been in the shadows it seems for quite some time. That is, until she released a new single “Blow Me One Last Kiss” a few months ago. Since then, it has gained much popularity on the radio station, and she even performed it at the 2012 MTV Music Awards. Naturally, a new album from the Pop/ Rock singer was inevitable. On September 18th, 2012; P!nk’s sixth studio album “The Truth About Love” was released. Now it’s time for the truth, about “The Truth About Love”. With almost five years since her last album, there is hype built up for the Pop/Rock singer’s latest album, but for the most part, it falls short as a great return. Instead, it is just an alright album with only a few truly terrific songs. To name a few of these exceptional songs, would be the latest single ” Blow Me One Last Kiss” as well as “Try”, ” Just Give Me a Reason”, “Are We All We Are” and “Here Comes the Weekend”. On this album, P!nk does have a few of collaborations; such as Nate Ruess ( the lead singer of Fun) on the track “Just Give Me a Reason”, Lily Rose Cooper (formally known as Lily Allen) on “True Love”, and even Eminem on the rock enthused song, “Here Comes the Weekend”. With the exception of the few songs I mentioned before, the album just isn’t that great. These songs just don’t sound like the P!nk everyone knows and loves. It seems as if P!nk has went in a different direction with her music, and it isn’t a turn for the good. Maybe on her next album, she will go back to what her music once was, and won’t try so hard.
