On Friday, January 22nd, Coach Kezmarsky and the Uniontown Red Raiders boys basketball team had a victorious result against Yough. After, this victory the team celebrated Coach Kezmarsky’s 300th win. Coach K has been coaching for 28 years as either a head or assistant coach.
We asked him what reaching this 300 win milestone means to him. He replied, “300 wins means a lot to me, but the relationships I have made with the players through the years is the best part of it. We take great pride for continuing to be one of the winningest programs in the WPIAL.” One of his favorite parts of coaching basketball at UHS is watching players improve and develop and grow as players and young adults.
He admits that social distancing due to the pandemic has affected the season this year saying the pandemic has been tough, but has made us appreciate each practice or day we get to have. Coach would like to thank the administration, teachers and former assistant coaches and players. Special Thanks to Coach Gladman who he said is like having another head coach on Staff. He a major part of this basketball program.
