December 14, 2012 – DAY 68

PSAT:  Any 10th or 11th grade student who took the PSAT in October is invited to the library during extended homeroom on Thursday Dec. 20th for some more information on understanding your scores.  Bring your score report with your access code for my college quick start.

SWIMMING:  The following students qualified for WPIAL’s at last nights swim meet:  Alexandra Meadows, Sarah Novak, Elizabeth Klingensmith & Christina Homer in the 200 medley relay and Elizabeth Klingensmith in the 100 Fly.

ASVAB:  ASVAB test results are available in the guidance office.  An interpretation session to help students understand their scores and next steps is scheduled for Jan. 7th.  Permission slips are available in the guidance office for the next test date March 1, 2013.

COMMUNITY SERVICE:  Sophomores, Juniors, & Seniors – Get a good feeling, do a good turn.  Bring the cheer to the people here.  Volunteer this time of year.  Write it down, turn it in, earn $200.00.  Your friends the Challenge Program, Inc.

STUDENTS:  Send a candy-gram to that special someone.  Candy canes will be on sale starting today during lunch for 50 cents.  Candy canes will be delivered on Dec. 20th.

BOYS BASKETBALL:  Tickets for the boys basket ball game with Derry Friday are on sale in the main office.  Student tickets bought in the office are $1.00.  Adult general admission tickets are $4.00.  All tickets at the door will be $4.00.

INTERACT CLUB:  Any Interact Club Member who is interested in ringing bells for Salvation Army on Saturday Dec. 15th can sign up with Mrs. Caromano in the guidance office.

STUDENTS:  Mrs. Howarth & the National Honor Society would like to thank students for their overwhelming response to blood drive sign-ups.  We can only have 48 blood draws, however some will not qualify so be ready to donate we want to make our quota.  You will receive a donation time in homeroom!  If not asked at this time the next drive is March 4th.

YEARBOOKS 2013:  Yearbooks will be on sale for pre-order until March 1.
