Earth Day is today, Friday March 22nd. Earth Day is a reminder that we need to protect our environment. It was first celebrated in 1970. This year is the 52nd anniversary of Earth Day. Around a billion people recognize and celebrate Earth Day.
As a society we need to appreciate and take better care of our environment. Without the environment none of us could survive. I like to think of it like this, I keep my house clean because that’s where I live. We should think the same way about the Earth, we all live here so we should take good care of it.
To celebrate Earth Day here are some activities you could do today or this weekend. You could plant a tree in your backyard. You could walk around the park and pick up any trash that you see. You could start recycling today. There’s so many other things you can do today or any day for our environment. Let’s keep the Earth clean and healthy together!
