The Fayette County Drug and Alcohol has two exciting events coming up! The first event will be held on April 21st from 5:30-6:30pm. It is the Power of Parents training developed by Mothers Against Drunk Driving. This event in being held to empower parents of middle school and high school students to have intentional conversations about the dangers of underage drinking. This is an important event you do not want to miss out on.
The second event will be held on April 22nd from 3:30-5:30pm. The is their annual Earth Day event, Freshen Up Fayette. They encourage both children and parent volunteers. There will be six parks that the volunteers can choose from to help. Students will be supervised by FCDAC employees and can receive community service hours for participating.
Having an active part in events like these is extremely important. Preventing drug use and alcohol use is vital for all students and even adults. If you plan to attend, encourage your friends to go with you. It is also important to take care of the place you live, the earth. Attending these meetings will help you to feel more accomplished as a person.
