Final Four

March Madness is one of the most exciting events when it comes to college sports. This year, a lot of high ranked teams were knocked out early by the lower seed teams making it more interesting to watch in my opinion. The Final Four teams consisted of Villanova, Kansas, North Carolina, and Duke. Villanova and Kansas faced off first Saturday night, Duke and North Carolina happened right after. This event took place in the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

The Villanova and Kansas game was an exciting game, it’s just that everyone was waiting for the other game because it was more of the main event. Kansas was in more people’s favor because of them powering over basically everyone the entire season. There known for getting the ball inside to their center and letting him work in the post. Villanova is also a great team but they don’t really have the matchups for a team like Kansas. Kansas ended up beating Villanova 81-65.

Now for the main event, Duke against North Carolina. It was an even matchup the entire game and the score always seemed to be close. Both teams had guards and forwards that matched up great compared to the previous game. The lead kept switching over and over during the final three minutes of the game. But eventually North Carolina gained a big enough lead to hold off Duke and make some easy free throws while they were in the bonus. North Carolina defeated Duke 81-77.
