As a senior I have been looking at different Colleges and Universities that I would possibly like to attend this fall. Trying to decide which type of education and school you would like to attend after high school is difficult. There are many different factors that go into finding the school that’s just right for you and making the decision to committing to it. You also have to decide what you want to do for the rest your life. I began this process when I was a junior and I recommend starting this early as possible because there are many steps and it can be stressful.
There is a list of things you need to look at To decide what do you want to do and where you want to go. One of the main things I am looking for is a campus I feel comfortable on. Because of how 2020 has gone it’s been difficult to get onto campus is to get a tour. I have taken several online tours which are helpful but don’t allow you to get a feel unless you actually go to the campus.
When deciding what you want to do for a living you need to think about what you find interesting, what you enjoy doing, and what makes you happy. You can decide on what you think you would be interested in doing and find schools that cater to those favorites of yours.
You don’t have to apply to a ton of schools. It is smart to have a “reach” school somewhere you would love to go but you’re not sure if you have the finance or grades to get into. A “safe” school, one that you know you can get them to be comfortable going to but it’s not your dream school. Then you should have a few in between. Having these options in a school that you find really interesting will make the decision easier when you get accepted and have to decide.
The last step is to pick a school and commit to it. It is already 2021 and this fall seniors will be going to different schools and it is an exciting time.
