JuJu Smith-Schuster’s Season Ending Injury

For those of you who don’t know JuJu Smith Schuster is a Wide Receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was drafted by the Steelers in 2017 out of USC and was the 62nd overall pick in the draft. Recently the Steelers played the Denver Broncos where JuJu was injured on a play hurting his shoulder. At first nobody thought anything of the injury since players get hurt and come back onto the field later, but JuJu never returned to play.

Steelers’ Head Coach Mike Tomlin announced that JuJu would undergo shoulder surgery on Wednesday October 13. JuJu posted on twitter telling his fans to not worry about him and to cheer on the Steelers as if he was playing still. After the surgery JuJu posted on Twitter saying,” Blessed to have had a successful surgery this morning. There’s no other way to say it, but I’m heartbroken that i’m going to be out for the rest of the season. It kills me to have worked hard all year to help our team on the field and now have my season cut short five weeks in. I’ll do everything in my power to recover to the best of my abilities next season.”

Without JuJu in the starting lineup the question is who will get more touches? Will it be Johnson, Ray-Ray McCloud, Chase Claypool, or will Rico Bussey finally get his first touch? Even without JuJu in the lineup the Steeler fans will always be as crazy and as loud as they were before.
