JV Baseball Starts Year off Strong

The JV baseball team was able to get its first full game in on the 12th. All of them had been cancelled due to weather and such. The team was expected to be rusty but not terrible. This was the first game they have played since returning from Florida, which has almost four weeks ago. Nonetheless, the boys secured the win, with little trouble.

Grayden Plume started on the hill for the Raiders and threw two innings. Then Wade Brugger came in and finished the rest of the game. They both contributed to the shutout. As the boys beat the Elizabeth Forward Warriors 4-0. The team hit the ball rather well putting up five hits along with three reaches on errors.

They take on the Warriors again tonight, April 13, at Elizabeth Forward. They hope to improve to 2-0 on the season. Then the following Thursday the boys travel to Belle Vernon to battle the Leopards. I just hope they have fun and win a few games along the way.
