ASVAB: Last chance this year. Any student in grade 10, 11, or 12 who wishes to take the ASVAB test & learn about your abilities and career options, should pick up a permission slip in the guidance office. The test will be given n March 13th. The permission slips are due March 8th.
INTERACT: We need 2 students to represent Uniontown High School on Saturday, March 23 at an Interact Event in Youngwood, Pa. If you are interested in attending, please see Mrs. Caromano by Thursday, March 14, 2013
SCHOLARSHIPS: If you are planning to major in nursing, teaching or engineering you must see Mrs. Kriebel or Ms. Marcinek immediately.

STUDENT COUNCIL BLOOD DRIVE: The student council will be sponsoring a blood drive on Thursday, March 21. Any student interested in donating blood can get permission forms during lunch at the student council table or in the guidance office from Mrs. Caromano. All students need a signed permission to donate and the forms are due to Mrs. Caromano by March 14th.
TEACHERS & STUDENTS: There will be a meeting for the following students that are participating in the anti-tobacco program with Officer Garrow on Monday morning at 7:45 in the office conference room: John Voyten, Nick Wilson, Julia Keffer, Lauren Palmar, Emily Keller, Zach Stashick, Sara Parker, Morgan Huncheuck, and Bob Bebard. Students should check into homeroom before attending the meeting.
FRESHMEN & SOPHOMORE STUDENTS: Applications for the Upward Bound Program are available in the guidance office. The no cost program provides academic assistance & support and college advisement. Students must be college bound and live with parents/guardians who do not have a 4 year college degree.
STUDENT COUNCIL BLOOD DRIVE: Volunteers to help with the blood drive on March 21st are needed. Any member of Student Council, SADD or Interact may sign up to help in the guidance office.
PI DAY: Any 9th or 10th grade student who is currently in Algebra II or has had Algebra 2 is invited to attend PiDay at Penn State Fayette on Thursday, march 14th If you are interested, you must see Mrs. Vaccaro in room 301 for a permission slip. The last day to obtain permission slips is Friday, March 1st.
SENIORS: Penn State University is also hosting a Free Application Day here at UAHS it has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2013. Please come to the guidance office to register for this session and to order your official transcript.
