FRESHMAN/SOPHOMORE DANCE: Freshman/sophomore dance is April 6th here in the high school café. Tickets will go on sale Wed., March 28th until April 4th Cost $15.00 single/$30.00 a couple. Please be sure to have permission forms in hand and completed or no tickets will be sold. Sales will be at lunches upper level by restrooms. Forms in the office or with Mrs. Howarth room 235.
SENIORS: Sarris candy money is due. Please turn it in to Mrs. Kriebel as soon as possible.
STUDENTS: There will be a formal dress exchange at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort Saturday, March 30th. They will be accepting donations throughout the week until March 29th. Donations include formal dresses, shoes & accessories. If your donated item sells, you can receive 50% back. The rest goes to charity. Please refer to the posters throughout the school for more information.
STUDENTS: The Fayette Young Professionals Group needs help with the Main Street Mosaic Project. You could complete your senior project and revamp a parking lot near Five Corners. See Mrs. Baker or visit www.youngfayette.com for details.
SR. PROJECT IDEA: Help preserve the history of our High School! The Uniontown High School Hall of Fame would like to design a website. The group needs help developing and maintaining this site. Committing to this task would be a great senior project and a way to leave your mark at UHS. See Mrs. Baker for contact info.
SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS, & SENIORS: $200.00 Community Service Awards – turn in your hours by the end of the third quarter to Mrs. Golden. Write it down, hand it in! Sponsored by the Challenge Program. Forms are in the guidance office.
DUAL ENROLLMENT FIELD TRIP: Sophomore & Junior students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible to explore Mt. Aloysius College on a field trip to Cresson, PA on April 25th. The day will include a tour and information on admissions, dual enrollment, and student life. Permission slips are available in the guidance office and are due by April 4th. Space is limited.
FRESHMEN: Fayette Career & Technical Institute is hosting a 9th Grade Exploratory Night on Wednesday, April 17th from 6 to 8 p.m. Students may explore 2 of 14 available programs. Refreshments will be provided. Sign-up early to be guaranteed a tee shirt. An IPOD Touch & (2) IPOD NANO’s will be given away. Students are responsible for their own transportation; parents are welcome. Registration forms are available in the guidance office & are due by April 10th.
